Psychiatry - How to Apply

We participate in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP).
Applications for first year positions will ONLY be accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) starting September 1, 2009. If interested in 2nd, 3rd or 4th year positions, contact us for availability and application procedure. We look at all aspects of your application. We do not rank an application simply based on Step Scores.

Application Requirements:
ERAS Common Application Form which includes the following:
Complete Personal Statement
Curriculum Vitae listing in detail all U.S. or foreign psychiatry experience
Three letters of recommendation, U.S. references preferred, if available
MSPE/Dean's letter from your medical school
Official transcript for each college and medical school attended
Valid ECFMC certificate, if applicable
USMLE Transcript of Step 1 and Step 2 or COMLEX Levels 1 & 2 (Pass on first attempt each)
Must have passed Step 1 within the last 7 years, or completed all 3 steps or levels within a 7 year period, or you are not licensable in the state of N.D.
USMLE Step 3, if available (Pass on first attempt)
CSA exam (pass on first attempt; passing results should be available by the end of January, or by February 24, 2010 at the very latest, in order to be considered for our match list)
Application Deadline:November 1, 2009
Interview Period:November through January
Visa Information:We do sponsor J-1 visas We DO NOT sponsor H-1 visas
